:: The Anatomy of Mathematics

This is a website where you can learn more about some of the areas of mathematics. The contents of this site will be related to articles in The Banneker Banner (published in the spring and fall) which is the official journal of The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Each related article in the Banner will cover introductory material on a special area of mathematics. It will be featured in a department entitled The Anatomy of Mathematics. If this interests you, try to obtain a copy of the most recent issue of The Banneker Banner from your mathematics teacher.

The level of the mathematics covered at this website will be secondary (grades 6 to 12) and will require that participating students have a minimum of an Algebra I background.
