Welcome to MCTM's new website! The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) is a professional organization for Maryland's teachers of mathematics.

Our 1,200 members represent all levels of mathematics educators, from preschool through college.

A local chapter of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), our goal is to support teachers in their professional endeavors that help them to become agents of change in mathematics education.

2008 Annual Mathematics Conference

The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) held the 2008 Annual Mathematics Conference at Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore, MD on October 17, 2008.

This year's conference theme was MCTM @ 75: Inspiring Generations of Mathematics Teachers, represents the very best that Maryland mathematics has to offer. We were fortunate to have so many exemplary educators, including keynote speakers Skip Fennell and Greg Tang, able to provide furture directions in mathematics education and professional development experiences to enhance student understanding.

Special thanks to conference co-chairs, Sue Vohrer and Dolores Bonincontri, the staff and students at Eastern Technical High School, the entire conference committee, the Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber Foundation, all of the corporate sponsors and exhibitors, and especially all those who attended the gathering.
