Maryland's Outstanding Mathematics Educators

Maryland has many outstanding mathematics educators. Now is the time for them to be recognized. Encourage any excellent mathematics teacher or educator in your school to complete an application. Self nominations are also accepted. Download the application here and forward it to your nominee.

Qualifications:

  • Three years of satisfactory teaching experience for Other Math Educator, and Elementary, Middle, High, and College levels
  • One - two years teaching experience for the "Beginning Teacher"
  • Evidence of professional growth
  • Completed application (handwritten applications are not accepted)
  • Submit two letters of recommendation
  • Essay on "How should mathematics instruction be implemented in today's classroom and how do you accomplish this?"

If application is accepted, a video taped (dvd) lesson must be submitted.
