Welcome to MCTM's new website! The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) is a professional organization for Maryland's teachers of mathematics.

Our 1,200 members represent all levels of mathematics educators, from preschool through college.

A local chapter of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), our goal is to support teachers in their professional endeavors that help them to become agents of change in mathematics education.

2009 MCTM Annual Conference

The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) will hold the 2009 Annual Mathematics Conference at Northwest High School in Germantown, MD on October 16, 2009.

"Friends of Maryland Mathematics" Gathering at the NCTM Annual Meeting in Washington, DC

On Thursday evening, April 23, MCTM members are invited to join the MCTM Board of Directors and ORIGO Education as they welcome dignitaries from around the nation in celebrating 75 years of supporting mathematics education in Maryland. The MCTM has reserved the Congressional Suite at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel and will welcome "Friends of Maryland Mathematics" from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 pm.
